Building a Website
From a top level view there are three main stages in building a website. The planning, which establish the end goal (the purpose of the website) and what needs to be on the website to accomplish that goal.
Progressing
The website owner consider these three at a place of completion. Yes they have visitors and post content. There is still fine tuning and changes to be made. In my opinion there is always changes to be made, in content and/or presentation.

This the busiest of the other website. Still a work in progress. Plans are for a launch party on December 31,2018.

Fact Finding Questions
I have found that a simple questionaire will get a customer thinking about the details of a the website they want. At the same time I can start working to that goal also.

Templates
I have found showing the customer templates and similar websites help us both as to understanding what they want and what they don’t want.
If I show them no more than 6 examples is the best. Showing 2 or 3 is if I think I have an understanding as to what they want.
Gathering Content
The four most inportant things to any website
- Color Schema (web safe colors and HEX number)
- Pictures and graphics (in jpg, jpeg, or png format)
- Text or written message (on a Word Document or in email)
- Scope of Work (or Statement of Work) Unless there is a clear expectation on both sides, a project can turn into a battleground full of misunderstandings.
Most businesses show off their finished work.
Some businesses with show you the before and after pictures.
